A range of digital photo organising packages are available to suit your needs. This will be dependent on your level of IT skills and how much time you have available. Digital Photo Organising Advisory Session - $95
Perfect for those who are intending to organise their photos themselves, have great IT skills, and like learning new things.
Your Digital Photo Organising Starter Pack includes:
- Initial 15 minute phone consultation.
- 1 hour meeting (face to face, Zoom, or combination of both if splitting the time) where you will learn the digital organising process.
- Notes on the overall process.
- Assistance with completion of goal setting.
- Assistance with completion of inventory.
- Follow up phone call or email.
- Handy Your Photos Filed purse - great for storing external hard drives.
Level 1 - Let me help you a little bit - $485.00
Are you feeling anxious about copying all of your images to a central place? Is the thought of downloading your photos from cloud storage completely overwhelming? Simone can help you do this part of the digital photo organising process, and from there you can continue on with the organising work yourself. Designed for those who have lots of time, are good with IT, but are hesitant about copying and downloading images.
Included in your Level 1 Digital Photo Organising Package:
- Initial 15 minute phone consultation
- Collection of devices where photos are stored (if you live regionally or interstate, other arrangements can be made)
- Copying of images from each device to a 2TB external hard drive (included in the package)
- Downloading of any images from cloud storage and copying to the external hard drive
- Notes and advice regarding the remainder of the digital photo organising process
- Handy Your Photos Filed purse to store external hard drive
Level 2 - Let me help you a little bit more - $1,200.00
Are you good with creating folders, moving files and curating photos? Do you like the idea of doing the nitty gritty photo organising yourself? Would you like Simone to get the process to a point where you can hop in and do the nitty gritty organising without worrying about removing duplicated images and getting all of your photos ordered chronologically?
Included in your Level 2 Digital Organising Package:
- All inclusions as detailed in Level 1 package
- First pass removal of duplicated images
- Separating out video files and moving to separate folders
- Organising photos chronologically (exception to this is those photos that do not have the 'capture date' embedded in their file - these will be placed in a separate folder)
- Creating yearly folders and moving folders of chronologically ordered photos to relevant years - as per example shown
- Notes and advice regarding the remainder of the digital photo organising process
The project will be undertaken over a period of four to six weeks.
Level 3 - Let me do the work for you - $2,200.00
So you've come to the conclusion that it's all too hard - perhaps it's due to lack of time, limited IT skills, or you're simply overwhelmed by the sheer number of photos you're dealing with. Let Simone do the work for you. She will get your digital photo collection to a point where it is beautifully organised and curated. You will easily be able to find photos and she will work with you to set up a maintenance system to look after your photos going forwards.
Included in your Level 3 Digital Organising Package:
- All inclusions as detailed in Level 1 and 2 packages
- Further deletion of duplicated files
- Deletion of other files as agreed by client (ie screenshots, out of focus, too dark, too light etc)
- Curation of similar photos
- Creation of subfolders within each year (monthly or by theme, or combination of both - as per example)
- Re-naming files in each folder to make them easily identifiable (as per example)
- Summary of work undertaken
- Recommendations for backing up your photo archive
- Assistance uploading to cloud storage
- Recommendations for ongoing maintenance
- Liaising with client throughout the project with regards to queried photos
This package includes the organisation of up to 35,000 digital images. If there are more than 35,000 digital images, an additional charge of $250 will apply for every 5,000 images.
There is the flexibility to purchase a Level 2 package, which, once completed, will give you an idea of the number of images to organise. From there, you can upgrade to a Level 3 package.
The project will be undertaken over a period of eight to twelve weeks.
Metadata Package
Metadata is information added to your digital photos such as keywords, captions and subject names.
The advantage of adding keywords to your images is that it makes them easily searchable. Adding captions to important photos enables you to tell the story behind the photo - the who, what, why where and how!
As an example, the featured images have the keyword "baker" added to them. If a search for "baker" is used, all of these images will appear.
Metadata such as keywords, captions and subject names can be added to your images at a cost of $500 for every 6,000 images.
Digital Assistance Service
This service is provided for those who have adhoc digital photo issues that need addressing. If this sounds like you, Simone from Your Photos Filed will come to your home to assist with your issue.
The cost for a home visit is as follows:
$95 for first hour and $60 per hour thereafter (Adelaide metropolitan area)

- Help getting videos and photos from iPhone to PC or external hard drive
- Help getting videos and photos from android phone to PC or external hard drive
- Help gathering and curating photos for memorial slideshow or other event
- Advice on implementation of backup systems
