Digital Photo Organising
Your precious memories organised and preserved to enjoy.
Simone charges by the hour and the project cost will vary depending on the number of images in your digital collection, and whether you would like metadata added to the files. Simone usually works on each project for 4-6 hours per week and invoices on a fortnightly basis.
If you plan to work on the project yourself but need assistance to get started, or help with a particular aspect of digital organising, including Apple/iPhone management, please see the Digital Assistance Package.
Taking photos this day and age is fun and easy – no more waiting for those rolls of film to be developed and no more being bound by 24 or 36 exposures. Photo opportunities are endless and it’s very easy to accumulate and store thousands of images across multiple devices.
But how often do you actually go back and look at these images? And if you do, is it difficult to find a particular image, or do you find it overwhelming to navigate around files and folders? Do you worry about your computer crashing, your external hard drive failing, or misplacing your phone and potentially losing all of those precious memories?
It’s really important to regularly organise and back up your digital images. But for many people this is a daunting task, and it can be difficult to know where to start. If you’re feeling like this is something you need to get done, but don’t know how to go about it, getting help from a professional photo organiser will definitely make life easier for you.
So how will this work?
As a professional photo organiser based in Adelaide, Simone will initially arrange a meeting with you to discuss your photo management goals and to assess the work required. If you live in regional SA or interstate, Simone can meet with you remotely.
After this initial consultation, Simone will make a time to gather all of your digital images from whichever devices they are stored on, copying them into one central location. If living in regional SA or interstate, arrangements can be made to have this done.
Simone works from her home office, and once she has a copy of your digital photos in hand, she will being the organising process. This includes deleting duplicates and either chronologically or thematically organising your photo archive, depending on your specific requirements. She will work closely with you throughout the process, keeping you informed of progress made. There is the option to apply metadata to the digital files, such as location, subject names and event descriptions. This makes your images easily searchable and identifiable, providing information about the photos for future generations. The end result will be a curated collection of photos and/or videos that is well organised, allowing easy access to images that would otherwise have been difficult to find.
Once your photo collection has been organised, Simone will discuss options with you regarding the implementation of a back-up regime to protect your precious memories, preserving your collection for your family, and for future generations. She will also discuss options for the ongoing maintenance of your photo archive. Having an organised digital photo collection makes it easy to complete other photo projects such as photo books and slideshows. Simone can help with these types of projects, too.
If you want to enjoy your photos again, and know that they are organised and secure for future generations, please contact Simone for an initial, no obligation consultation.
If you would like to undertake the process yourself, but need some help to get started, or if you need advice and help along the way, Simone offers a Digital Assistance Package.
